European-Patent.org is committed to protecting
your online privacy. The following policy explains how your personal
information will be treated when you register for an European-Patent.org
account. This policy is subject to change and revision without notice,
and you are encouraged to review this document regularly.
Simply put, we are committed to providing you with the best service
available online or elsewhere. Unlike other online services, European-Patent.org
will NOT disclose your personal information to third parties.
In general, you can visit European-Patent.org without telling us
who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself.
We track the Internet address of the domains from which people visit
us and analyze this data for trends and statistics, but the individual
user remains anonymous.
What personal information does European-Patent.org collect from
me?
European-Patent.org collects personal information upon registration.
During registration, European-Patent.org typically will ask for
your name and e-mail address. We require, at a minimum, a first
name, last name, password, and valid e-mail address. The more information
you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we are able
to customize your experience. Once registered, you are part of the
European-Patent.org community, a customer account is created, and
you can take full advantage of European-Patent.org's services.
In addition to registration we may ask you for personal information
at other times, including immediately following the registration
process, when you enter a contest or promotion sponsored by European-Patent.org,
and when you report a problem with the service or with your account.
If you contact European-Patent.org we will keep a record of that
correspondence. European-Patent.org also occasionally asks registered
users to complete surveys that we use for research purposes. Wherever
European-Patent.org collects personal information we make an effort
to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.
European-Patent.org customers use our service also to store files
and folders (data). European-Patent.org will not review, share,
distribute, print, or reference any such data except as outlined
in the Terms of Service or as may be required by law.

Residual account information remains archived within our records.
What security precautions are in place to protect the loss,
misuse, or alteration of my information?
Your European-Patent.org account information and European-Patent.org
customer profile are password-protected so that you, and only you,
have access to this personal information. You may edit your European-Patent.org
account information by logging into our web interface using your
European-Patent.org username and password.

a computer in a public place like a library or Internet cafe.
As a global company, European-Patent.org has international sites
and users all over the world. When you give European-Patent.org
personal information, that information may be sent electronically
to servers outside of the country where you originally entered the
information, such as to the United States or other countries. In
addition, that information may be used, stored and processed outside
of the country where you entered it. Whenever European-Patent.org
handles personal information as described above, regardless of where
it occurs, European-Patent.org takes steps to ensure that your information
is treated securely and in accordance with the relevant Terms of
Service and this Privacy Policy.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed
to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your
personal information, European-Patent.org cannot ensure or warrant
the security of any information you transmit to us or while using
the service, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your
transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security on
our systems.
What does European-Patent.org do with contact information that
I might provide?
When you use European-Patent.org to email or provide customer
support, you normally enter that person's e-mail address into the
system so that a message can be sent. European-Patent.org treats
any contact information that you enter while using the service with
the same respect and confidentiality as your own information. E-mail
addresses that you enter when using European-Patent.org to share
information are not sold or made available to any 3rd parties.
Using European-Patent.org's "Client side" feature requires
that the person you are sharing with have an European-Patent.org
account to access the folder. If the person you are sharing with
does not already have an European-Patent.org account, a free sharing
account will be created for that person when you "Create new
customer". European-Patent.org will automatically send an e-mail
inviting the person so they can access the client side you have
created. The same Privacy Policy in effect for "attorney accounts"
also applies to European-Patent.org "client accounts".
Only European-Patent.org will make use of any personal information
collected from a customer with a sharing account.
What else should I know about my privacy?
Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal
information online - for example on message boards, through e-mail,
or in chat areas - that information can be collected and used by
others. In short, if you post personal information online that is
accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from
other parties in return.

of other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave
our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web
site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy
statement applies solely to information collected by this web site.
Ultimately, you are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of
your passwords and/or any account information. Please be careful
and responsible online.
